NOFA-NH’s Annual Winter Conference — 2/10/2024
UPDATE: NH Cannabis Association Board of Advisers Chair Tim Egan will now be joining board member Jim Riddle to co-host the “What’s Up with Cannabis? An Update and Discussion on Cannabis and Hemp in New Hampshire” at 2:45 pm.
The Northeast Organic Farming Association of NH (NOFA-NH), a “non-profit organization dedicated to building a community of organic food activists and educated consumers to help support New Hampshire’s local organic farming community,” is hosting its 22nd annual Winter Conference on February 10, 2024 at Southern New Hampshire University. The conference will include a full day or workshops on various topics related to organic farming, various activities to engage with NOFA-NH members and supporters, as well an awards session to recognize leaders in the organic farming community of New Hampshire.
As per NOFA-NH’s Winter Conference webpage:
“The future of food ripples beyond the production of sustenance – our food system is an intricate web of biological, physical, social, emotional, technological, and spiritual relationships. Developing a sustainable and equitable food system requires us to investigate these complex relationships and how they connect and tether our environment, economy, and communities. NOFA-NH’s 22nd annual Winter Conference will explore the ecosystem of food and invite participants to build skills that cultivate abundant businesses, communities, homes, and systems.”
Of particular interest to cannabis advocates and enthusiasts, two of our very own NH Cannabis Association Board Members will be facilitating workshops during the conference. Tanya White will be giving a session on “Soil to Health: Growing Hemp Organically” at 11:30 am, and Jim Riddle will be giving a session on “What’s Up with Cannabis? An Update and Discussion on Cannabis and Hemp in New Hampshire” at 2:45 pm.
