NORML Supports Cannabis Bill HB 198 that Legalizes Possession

Great news! The New Hampshire House of Representatives approved legislation this week to legalize the possession of personal amounts of marijuana by adults! Now it is time to make sure this bill keeps making progress.
HB 198 repeals criminal penalties for those age 21 and over who possess up to two ounces of cannabis flower or up to 10 grams of cannabis concentrates. The legislation will now go before the Senate for consideration.
The upper chamber has stalled on sensible cannabis policy reforms in recent years, and Gov. Ayotte has expressed her strong opposition to legalization, so it is vital that you contact them now and demand that they stop arresting adults for marijuana.

Currently, individuals who possess amounts of cannabis greater than 3/4 of one ounce face criminal prosecution and up to one year in jail.
