Meet the Newest Members of the NHCann Board of Advisors

The NH Cannabis Association, the state’s leading trade group for the cannabis industry, is proud to announce four new commitments to the Board Of Advisors. Timothy Egan, inaugural Chair of the Board since 2022, is excited to welcome NH residents William Baker of Dover, Kyle Connelly of Portsmouth, Carrie DeGutis of Manchester and Kyle Savage of Concord.

Egan’s goal is to expand NHCANN’s cannabis industry presence, insight and legislative engagement to focus on commercial and medicinal legislation for 2025. This new batch of advisors furthers the diverse group of business and community leaders that value the cannabis industry.

William Baker – is a member of the Shaheen & Gordon PA’s Business and Civil Litigation Groups. He has over a decade of experience representing a diverse cross-section of individuals and businesses throughout New Hampshire, New York, and Colorado. Will works to build lasting, trusting relationships with his clients. His motivation to see them succeed drives a creative approach to legal challenges. Innovative solutions both inside and outside the courtroom produce the measurable results clients need. He guides businesses through a range of matters, including business formation and organization, regulatory matters, employment law, succession planning, litigation, and more.

Will received his law degree from the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law and spent his first 10 years practicing in Colorado, where he founded a successful firm built on his client-driven approach. In addition to his legal experience, Will holds an MBA and brings these added skills to his business practice. When he’s not in the office, Will enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the natural wonders of the Seacoast region and beyond, and the creative arts.

Kyle Connelly – grew up in a family of entrepreneurs.  From his earliest memories, he understood what being a business owner really means and how being in business works to support a family and create opportunity.  As a result, Kyle is very passionate about working with owners to protect their assets and achieve their financial goals.  Kyle graduated from Endicott College with a degree in finance and began his career as a Financial Advisor.  Before moving over to East Coast Global, Kyle worked with Baystate Financial where he helped business owners and clients to protect their interests, save and build retirement assets, and establish succession plans.

Kyle has been with East coast Global Insurance since 2020 and launched their cannabis division in 2021. Since that time he has connected with a vast number of professionals and has become very passionate about the industry. In 2021 he launched his cannabis networking group, UCANNB2B, where both owners and ancillary businesses can collaborate and network.  Kyle currently lives in Rochester NH with his wife, Natalie their son Casey and golden retriever, Bentley.  When he is not in the office, he can be found at networking events or volunteering at charitable event.

Carrie DeGutis – is a dedicated therapeutic cannabis patient in New Hampshire. Over the past few years, she developed a strong passion for advocating and supporting progressive cannabis policies in the Granite State. Through engaging conversations with fellow patients, dispensary professionals, farmers, politicians, and other stakeholders, she has become deeply committed to promoting positive change and combating the stigma associated with cannabis use. Having lived in various locations along the East Coast, she witnessed the diverse approaches to cannabis legalization and Alternative Treatment Center (ATC) programs. This journey revealed significant challenges related to the cost and accessibility of cannabis medication, inspiring her to take action.

Carrie’s passions lie in enhancing cannabis communication and policy, ensuring better access and affordability for medical cannabis patients in New Hampshire. She founded the New Hampshire Cannabis Communication Group. The group holds bi-monthly Zoom meetings, providing a platform for members to discuss both critical and casual cannabis topics. While political discussions have been a focus, our overarching goal is to foster a unified and well-informed community through open and effective communication. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Lesley University and has over 30 years of experience as a retail manager.

As a Cannabis Studies Instructor, Egan’s ability to bring diverse business, health, agriculture and government expertise the Board of Advisors, will help NHCANN be a more well rounded organization in 2025, when promoting cannabis commercialization initiatives in NH. His industry leaders assessment skills come from being P/T Faculty and Internship Coordinator for the Cannabis Studies Certification Program at Vermont State University since 2022; producer of the 2019 Cannabis Sustainability Conference in Worcester, MA, and digital media coordinating producer for the Colorado based Cannabis Certification Council from 2019-2021.  The current board can be found at https://nhcann.org/about-nh-cannabis-association/
