U.S. House Passes SAFE Banking Act as Part of New Coronavirus Relief Bill

On Monday the Cannabis Business Times reported that the U.S. House passed the SAFE Banking Act as part of the HEROES Act. Essentially the latest stimulus bill. They note that “Included in the bill was the legislative language of the SAFE Banking Act, which would allow cannabis businesses to work freely with banks.”

While this is certainly welcome news, they also note that the U.S. Senate has never passed cannabis banking legislation and that it’s not enough that the House has taken this step.

Now is the time to reach out to your local Senator(s) and voice your support for the SAFE Banking Act. With your help we can work to get the support of the Senate to make this a reality.
